Let's talk about schedules.

Paris (or somewhere else?), 8 December 2025

Hi Friend,

This is a scheduled message.

I wrote it two weeks ago.

On the day I wrote this, I also drafted thirteen posts for LinedIn and set them to publish on different days.

I'm not bragging, anyone could do that.

But I still want to talk about it.

Why?

Because for me, it's been a great exercise in time-blocking and getting a great chunk of creativity done.

It's taught me about efficiency, and it's also highlighted how much time I spend on writing, which I don't necessarily notice when I write one post at a time. (Spoiler alert: a lot.)

But it's also made me think about how, if at all, scheduling things affects authenticity. Does authentic need to be spontaneous? Probably not.

But still, is it cheating if I you to start a conversation with people even if I'm not there? Probably also not.

As long as then you're there to respond to any reaction.

Corollaries:

If you can schedule something, and doing so helps you work more efficiently, and the act of scheduling it doesn't take away from the result, then schedule it!

If anything can be systematically scheduled (think student check-ins, feedback request / pulse surveys, reminders and so on), there's absolutely no excuse not to schedule it!

But if you do schedule anything, be ready to act on any reaction you may get.

Let's hope I won't have violated this last rule.

That's it for today.

If we don't speak before the end of the year, I wish you the very best moments for the festive period, whatever you celebrate.

András
